         Every Knee Shall Bend
One of the many disturbing things I have seen in the New Mass, is the way Catholics no longer bend their knee when
receiving the Lord in Holy Communion. It is a very sad thing that pride has now taken over the proper worship of
Jesus present in the Holy Eucharist under the appearance of bread and wine. Saint Paul teaches us:

" For it is written: As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me and every tongue shall confess to God."  
Romans 14:11

He continues in his letter to the Philippians:

"That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth:"
Philippians 2:10

As Catholics, knowing Our Lord is truly present, why would anyone not bend his or her knee to show the Lord that
they truly believe He is present? It is the most beautiful way of professing your faith but also giving the Lord His due
respect.

Praying on your knees is proven in the Old Testament by King Solomon and the dedication of the Temple. After
concluding his beautiful prayer to God we read:

" he rose from before the altar of the Lord: for he had fixed both knees on the ground."  3 Kings 8:54


Our Lord Himself gave us an example of praying on His knees:

41"And he was withdrawn away from them a stone's cast. And kneeling down, he prayed.

42 Saying: Father, if thou wilt, remove this chalice from me: but yet not my will, but thine be done.

43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony, he prayed the longer.

44 And his sweat became as drops of blood, trickling down upon the ground.

45 And when he rose up from prayer and was come to the disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow. "   Saint Luke
22:41-45


The practice of standing for Holy Communion was the protestant way of showing that the priest was an ordinary man
and that the bread was just bread and not the Body of Christ. So in essence they protested the Real Presence of
Jesus.Yet we see Catholics receiving the Lord is this  disrespectful way in all Novus Ordo parishes. Can you imagine
that our Lord humbled Himself to pray on His Knees yet Catholics refuse to drop to their knee in front of the Savior of
the world!!!

I would ask ALL Catholics, to remember to drop to their knee in front of the Risen Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. I
would ask ALL Catholics to bend their neck when they hear the Holy Name of Jesus. I would ask ALL Catholics to
respectfully rebuke anyone who uses the Lords name in vain. Please pray for all those who do not believe.
