We Do Not Worship The Same God
I have heard it said, so many times, that we all worship the same God.  This is
obviously blasphemous.  Catholics believe in the Holy Trinity. Father, Son and
Holy Ghost. Those who are weak in their own faith some how claim even the
Muslims, believe in the same God as Catholics. This is not true and only
diminishes the Lord and Savior. Lets us see what the Koran, the so-called Holy
book of the Muslims actually says about the Savior:

" Say not "Trinity" : desist it : it will be better for you : for Allah is one Allah. Glory
be to Him: far exalted is He above having a son." ( Koran , Surah 4:171 )

So we see clearly that the Koran rejects the Son of Man. As we know the Savior
is the Second person of the Holy Trinity.  

" Jesus was only a messenger of Allah" ( Koran 4:171 )

Again we see that the Muslims do not believe Jesus is God. To them he was just
another prophet and not God. Catholics cannot say we believe in the same God
as that would imply Jesus is not God!

“Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah is the third person of the three;
there is no god but the one God, and if they desist not from what they say, a
painful chastisement shall befall those among them who disbelieve.” (Koran,
Surah 5:73)

Again there is no believe in the Holy Trinity and therefore Jesus would not be
God.

“Certainly you have made an abominable assertion. The heavens may almost be
rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in
pieces, that they ascribe a son to the Beneficent God. And it is not worthy of the
Beneficent God that He should take to Himself a son.” (Koran, Surah 19:88-95)

So we see that Muslims are forbidden to believe in Jesus as God and the Son of
Man. Do we believe in the same God?

Again we see the rejection of the Son of Man.
“That is Jesus, son of Mary, in word of truth, concerning which they are
doubting. It is not for God to take a son unto Him.” (Koran 19:34,35)
“Yet they slew him not, and they crucified him not, but they had only his
likeness.” (Koran, Surah 4:156)

Now we also see that the Muslims are taught to reject the crucifix cation. That
being said He could not be God if He was not crucified then resurrected.
“That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the
Messenger of Allah.” But they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was
made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no
certain knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him
not.” (Koran, Surah 4:157)

So we see that the Koran completely rejects Jesus as God and the Catholic
faith. No Catholic can ever say we worship the same God without compromising
his or her faith.  Do not compromise your faith and reject the Savior as He did not
and will not forget us in the final days.

You say what about the Protestant ? No we do not believe in the same God. As
A Catholic I believe that God Jesus was born of a perpetual Virgin who was
assumed into heaven. The protests have a different god in which God's Mother
was not a virgin for her life and was not assumed into heaven. I believe it is
Divinely revealed that the Pope is the supreme Head of the Church. Their God
has not revealed that and so they have no Supreme Head . I believe it is Divinely
revealed that my God is truly present on the altar. The protestant God is not
present on the alter. No Catholics do not worship the same God but the One
True God and His Church in which there is No Salvation Outside of.
